Based on Wikipedia, it defined that Open-plan office designs are generally promoted as improving collaboration, but moving from cubicles to open work spaces (e.g., tables with no visual barriers) actually results in dramatically fewer face-to-face interactions among staff and reduced productivity. In other word, it is office floor plan that eliminated most private offices and meeting spaces and become a modern design to facilitate innovation and creativity.
